Born in Argentina in 1976, Ines Sedan studied Arts at the University of La Plata, where she earned an undergraduate degree in drawing in 1995. From 1986 to 1996, she also studied clarinet at the Gilardo Gilardi Conservatory of Music. From 1996 to 1998, she studied film at the National University and animation at the Institute of Cinematographic Art in Buenos Aires.
In 1998 she received the best animation film award for her short The imaginary mirror at the Tiempos Cortos Festival in Buenos Aires and the prize for the best one-minute video in the national competition in Rio Negro. In 1999 she settled in France where she works as an animator and illustrator. The Man Who Slept is her first professional film.
