Rubin Stein (Spain, 1982) is one of the 10 Emerging Spanish Filmmakers 2018 according to Variety. His short films have been screened at more than 500 film festivals around the world, receiving more than 70 awards, highlighting a nomination to the European Gold Méliès. He has also directed TV programs, created artistic videos for the Opera and has been curator of an exhibition on the evolution of the video clip in collaboration with Universal and 40Tv.
His works are defined by enigmatic visual narratives and a powerful and very personal staging.
In 2018, his feature film project Tin & Tina was one of 10 films selected for 'Frontières' and was presented publicly at the last Cannes Film Festival. His last short film Bailaora is a candidate for Best Fiction Short Film at the Goya 2019 Awards.
