Journalist at EL PAÍS since 2004, I work at EL PAÍS SEMANAL since 2010, where I’m one of this sunday magazine’s editor and in charge of a team which controls the publication’s website and social networks as well since the end of 2014. In my career path at the Prisa Noticias newspaper, I’ve worked in different departments, where I have covered very diverse areas: Catalonia (2004-2005), Spain (2006), Madrid (2007-2008), Newsroom Table (2008), EP3 (2008-2010), Culture (2009) and EL PAíS SEMANAL (2010 to now).
During these past years, journalism has given me the chance to travel, one of my passions. I’ve met people and stories in Spain, and also in other places such as the United States, Germany, Japan, Burkina Faso, Brazil, Belarus, Singapore, Bosnia Herzegovina, The Netherlands, Hawaii or the Arctic… I’ve talked to actors and actresses, businessmen, teachers, undergraduates, politicians, professional athletes, soldiers, doctors, evicted families, drug addicts, music stars, former death row immates…
Graduated in Journalism at the Blanquerna Communications Science Faculty (Ramon Llull University, Barcelona), my professional career has been developed in other media companies other than EL PAíS. I have published at Forbes, Esquire, Líbero, Diario Expansión… plus a brief experience in a basque local radio, at Herri Irratia – Radio Popular.
I was born and raised in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and I also lived in Donostia-San Sebastián, both in the Basque Country. I lived an incredible year in Minneapolis (Minnesota, United States), I became a journalist in Barcelona, and I live and work in Madrid since 2006.
