In the animation section of the schools competition at #FeelFest, Sun of a Beach is a collective short film that comes from the French animation and CGI school, Ecole MOPA.

In the film, co-directed by Valentin Gasarian, Lin Jinfeng, Arnaud Crillon and Alexandre Rey, we see a bucolic beach scene including all the key elements present in such a summer setting: the beach stud, the stunning blonde, the beach bar waiter, children making sand castles … but suddenly, a moment of carelessness causes it to get hotter and hotter, until this idyllic day at the beach turns into an apocalyptic place as the temperature rises.

In competition with three others, this is a technically-skilled, academic film that we highly recommend to raise consciousness about the environment, just as the Climate Change Summit is being held in Paris.
